Nico Williams, a midfielder from Spain, has already done a great job at Euro 2024.
At Euro 2024, Spain midfielder Nico Williams has surprised several Premier League clubs with his impressive performance.
With a 1- 0 win over Italy on Thursday night, Luis de la Fuente's edge secured their passage to the knock phases of the tournament. The 21-year-old wing was named Person of the Match. Having also registered a whopping 19 assists for Athletic Bilbao this season, his shows have n't gone unnoticed.
As clubs around Europe begin to consider whether the talented Spaniard's prospect is worth a gamble with the opening of the summer move windows, Williams ' future there has been a hot topic of conversation over the past few weeks.
Williams ' release clause, according to ESPN, is set at just €50 million ( £42.22 million ), with Chelsea and Arsenal already having shown an interest in the player. Although a walk is unlikely to occur until after the Euros, the two London venues are reportedly keeping tabs on the Athletic Bilbao winger's position.
Williams ' versatility is also fantastic, as he can deploy him on both sides or in the middle of an invasion, if necessary. His time may cause venues across Europe to work immediately, but he appears to be staying focused on his current work, which is with Spain.
" I am really glad at Athletic", Williams recently told television station COPE. " It is the team that has given me anything, it is the team that has bet on me 100 per share. I have to say that I am quite content in Bilbao.
" I have it pretty obvious. I'm quite happy and am very glad here, and what I want to do is concentrate on the Euros, which is crucial because losing in a competition like this will pass you by.
" I do not know what is going to occur. I've told my representatives that I wo n't know anything until the Euros are over. I have a clear goal of winning the Euros, but I'm totally focused.
