France legend Michael Olise has been branded "disrespectful" and told to "grow up" after his response to losing the 2024 Paralympic sport last against Spain.

The 22-year-old forward, who completed a £50m move from Crystal Palace to Bayern Munich past fortnight, was a crucial part of the French U23 part which finished as runners-up at their house Games in Paris. However, it's obvious that Lisa did n't understand what an Olympic silver medal means.

Instead of keeping it around his neck during the presentation ceremony like the rest of his friends after Les Bleus 5-3 extra-time lost to La Roja, the original Reading guy removed his prize. And it's a judgement which has n't gone over well on social advertising...

Nigerian journalist Tunde Young posted on X:" The Olympics is the only place where]runners-up ] medals actually mean something in football. He needs to mature.

It's typical to see people get their trophies off soon after being presented with them after losing a significant last – but the Olympics are a particular situation. A golden prize is, of course, the zenith, but bronze and statues are not to be sniffed it.

Others, however, have called Olise "disrespectful" for his approach. Some even went so far as to claim that his actions demonstrated that football should n't be a part of the Olympics, which a large number of athletes devote their lives to.

Olise, nevertheless, did eventually seem pleased. He posted a picture of himself during the brief time he really did use the award on Instragram, with the message:" Kudos to all, an experience that will last permanently".

The new German campaign kicks off with the focus on the 2022/23 Crystal Palace Players ' Player of the Season, who may yet play for France, England ( where he was born ), Nigeria, or Algeria at international level. He could make his Bayern album in Friday's DFB-Pokal link apart to Ulm.
