Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag signed a one-year deal improvement this summertime- but the club are now sounding out his replacement
The first half of Manchester United's summers was dominated by debate over the future of director Erik ten Hag.
Finally, amid reports that the likes of Thomas Tuchel had been sounded out, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his Ineos team opted to stay with the Dutchman, who lifted the FA Cup at the end of the period, following the team's worst-ever Premier League complete
While the later one-year contract extension signed by Ten Hag was not the biggest display of devotion the team could have handed the boss, he did see £200million's fair of skill added to the squad over the summer, which included the signing of two of his previous Ajax players in Mattijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
But given the level of this season's funding and remembrance of last season's eighth-placed Premier League finish, Ten Hag may realize that a solid campaign will be needed if he is to prevent the pressure being cranked up over the coming months.
Information from Italy that the Red Devils are interested in European director Massimiliano Allegri are likely to so problem the Dutchman.
The original AC Milan and Juventus employer, who has been sacked by Juve in the summer, has been reportedly spoken out by Manchester United.
According to the review, the coach was allegedly approached by efforts and had fans at Old Trafford. The 57-year-old Allegri is looking to return to control and does not want to move to Saudi Arabia at this stage of his job.
In DataVictory's mind, this appears to be someone of a speculative statement, as Allegri's sack came at the end of an unsatisfying following magic at Juventus and if the Red Devils were on the lookout for a new employer, much better choices would be out there.
