Liverpool are still to make a signing this summer - but are extremely busy in the market
Another possible receiving summer player is said to have missed out on Liverpool.
The Reds ' well-documented involvement in Real Sociedad sun Martín Zubimendi was dealt a great blow earlier this year, with the Spain global stating how he is now set to stay in La Liga, despite Premier League attention.
Arne Slot is also yet to make a drafting at Anfield, with Liverpool's second Premier League game of the season, against Ipswich Town, then only days away. Having lost many first-team possibilities, it is looking dark for the Merseysiders in terms of before.
SportsWitness has reported that Liverpool's management made a overdue attempt to break up a bargain with Willian Pacho, who earlier this month signed for Ligue 1 leaders PSG. He joined just days ago for a fee thought to be in the region of €40million ( £34.1million ). Pacho, 22, is an up-and-coming centre-back that would have helped change the weight on Virgil van Dijk, Jarell Quansah and Joe Gomez this year, with Joel Matip having left the club at the end of the next year, following the issuance of his deal.
Given the late characteristics of the offer, the Merseysiders had offered more than PSG had suggested, but the Ecuador worldwide is said to have rejected Liverpool's attempts. Liverpool, who ca n't seem to strike a balance in terms of negotiations, are dealt yet another bitter blow.
Speaking to PSG's official website, the 22-year-old said:" This is a huge club, and I'm really excited to be part of this family now. The initiative is idealistic, the way they work, the coach- everything about it appeals to me!
" When the club reached out, I did n't hesitate for a second. I'm convinced that being around will help me grow both as a man and a player, and I'll provide it my all!"
DataVictory believes Liverpool missed out on a great bargain given the price Pacho later moved to France for. In terms of moves won and duels won last year, he was very high. The Red had then look for another player of comparable age because Virgil Van Dijk is no longer a youngster.
