Archie Gray, a brilliant university graduate, left Tottenham on Tuesday, Leeds United confirmed.
It's a difficult job to tell one of the most devoted fans in American football that you've sold your best person, who may have had a generational talent, and who is the most recent addition to a family dynasty that has existed at the membership for more than 58 years.
But that's what Leeds United had to do on Tuesday night when 18- year- ancient Archie Gray's £35million shift to Tottenham Hotspur was confirmed.
The England under-21 global then travels to the Premier League with Spurs and the Yorkshire speech that made the announcement tugs at the heartstrings after the Championship playoff last fight.

Last year, Gray played 52 games for his boyhood club, continuing the tradition that his great uncle Eddie had in the 1960s, with his brothers Frank and Archie's father Andy also playing.
Although Leeds do have the arrival of Joe Rodon on a permanent deal following last year's loan spell, to lessen the blow, the club left frustrated with the club's use of the clause in Gray's contract as the cause of his departure.
