One aspect from Europe wants to make a smart move while the transfer window is open for company.
In recent years, the transfer glass has grown extremely expensive, with regular top-flight players paying exorbitant fees that European clubs have been more than prepared to match.
In fact, German giant have muddied the waters, leaving state-owned or hedge-funded megabucks a mere drop in the ocean for eye-watering deals. Discounts or shrewd organization, it seems, is a thing of the past. That is, until then.
The transfer glass typically involves selling their best ability and replacing them with younger, more creative actors, according to Benfica. In recent years, the Portuguese companies have sold the likes of Goncalo Ramos, Enzo Fernandez, Darwin Nunez, Ruben Dias and Ederson, all for great amount, and the listing, in all honesty, is very inexhaustable.
One sales from the past decade stands out above all others, nevertheless, and that is Joao Felix. Felix, 19, was projected to become one of the best people in Europe after being sold to Atletico Madrid for £113 million, which was the fifth highest transfer fee in history at the time, not least of which because he had just received the Golden Boy prize as well.
Issues, however, have n't simply gone to prepare for the Portuguese forward since his huge- money move to the Hispanic captial. While he helped Atletico get La Liga in 2020/21, he has failed to even hit double numbers in a year in Spain's best trip.
Felix moved to Chelsea on payment for the second half of the 2022/23 time before spending the remainder of the 2023/24 battle at Barcelona as a result of a deterioration in his marriage with director Diego Simeone. He did agree to an extension of his agreement with Atletico until 2029, but just to make sure that his income were in line with Barcelona's La Liga salary cap.
However, it seems Felix's lengthy- term future lies away from the Metropolitano Stadium, with Benfica set to take advantage of situation by bringing back the when- vivid talent for a only a fraction of what they sold him for.
According to Hispanic store Game, Benfica have offered Atletico £12.7m to are- sign Felix- only under 10 per cent of the classic transfer fee. The report does suggest that the Hispanic side are looking to hold out for around £21m for the 24- year- old, but with no additional offers timely this transfer window and considering his non- observable relationship with Simeone, a deal could still be feasible.
One key aspect of the deal, however, is that Atletico would retain 50 per cent of the player's rights. This would mean they're entitled to half of any fee if Felix is sold in the future.
While this seems unlikely, in DataVictory's opinion this could be one of the greatest bits of business ever concluded in the transfer market. Felix is clearly still a very talented player who has plenty of time on his side to regain his form and develop into a top player on the continent, which will not only benefit the player but also the club as well. If this comes to fruition, we'll be watching on with eager eyes at what the forward could produce back in his homecountry.
