Liverpool's second signing of the Arne Slot time nears implementation
Under new supervisor Arne Slot, who is aiming to create a side that is more in tune with Jurgen Klopp's style, they have endured what many fans believe was an unsatisfying second transfer window.
The Dutchman must take on the challenging task of bringing a club that is currently dangerously near to demise in the red quarter of Merseyside.
With only 12 months left on Trent Alexander Arnold's existing offer, key figures like Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Alisson all relax on the bad side of 30.
Liverpool's second filing of the summer is about to come.
Fans have been clamoring for reinforcements ahead of the closing window, which will provide Slot the best chance to succeed in this novel era at Anfield, after Sepp van cave Berg and Fabio Carvalho both left for expenses in the region of £20 million.
Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi's move was widely reported, but it did n't materialize until earlier in the year because the team appeared unwilling to do a backup option, and rumors about a new defender's arrival have also been unfavorable.
But, it now seems the Red will soon be off the tag with the drafting of Valencia's Greek goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
The 23-year-old has put pen to paper on a move which is likely to charge around €35 million, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The European journalist confirmed that the offer may be completed before the end of the window for a guaranteed €30 million with an extra €5 million in add-ons.
The offer looks set to go through publicly in 2025 with Mamardashvili remaining at Valencia for the remainder of the season to keep regular minutes before challenging Alisson for the number one position at Anfield. A ten per cent coming sell-on section is also to be inserted.
In DataVictory's mind, this represents outstanding value for money. Mamardashvili's appearances at Euro 2024 demonstrate that he is already one of Europe's best athletes at the age of 23. His era also suggests he may keep his ability for at least another century. However, the move does increase some significant questions about the future of Liverpool's existing athletes.
A talent like Mamardashvili is n't going to agree to sit on the bench forever, suggesting Alisson's time could be coming to an end. If, somehow, has has agreed to play copy, what does this mean for the skilled Caoimhin Kelleher, who himself has been content to plenty of transfer attention this summer? Many to keep an eye on but get excited, England fans!
