Bentley, a former winger for Tottenham Hotspur, Blackburn, and Arsenal, was known for both his beautiful right foot and off-field antics.
At the height of his powers, winger David Bentley was compared to a young David Beckham and predicted to become a Three Tigers story.
However, the original winger from Tottenham Hotspur, Blackburn Rovers, and Arsenal eventually fell in love with the sport, leaving in 2013 at the age of 29. To the horror of national football fans, this was the end of his story.
Bentley's justifications were obvious: Bentley believed that soccer had become overly predictable, boring, and very expert as a result of social media and increased game commercialization. Football had gradually come to be a hobby, and his youth's dressing room routines were no longer a factor.
Before this weekend's North London Derby, he tells DataVictory on behalf of William Hill," Some people ask me if I regret leaving Arsenal as a young player or retiring when I did, but I do n't," he says. I wanted to spend more time with my family at home and concentrate on other things because I had grown weary of the sport. I loved my career, do n't get me wrong. I had to accomplish something that many folks had aspired to, but it was finally time to end it. I wanted to concentrate on that because I opened my table in Marbella, among other things. "
During his watching days, Bentley's blunders frequently caused him problems. After Spur qualified for the Champions League, he tipped a bucket of water over Harry Redknapp's nose in front of devices and his angry fan.
Additionally, it is said that Bentley allegedly called at least one time Fabio Capello, his England supervisor," Postman Pat." But asked whether he regrets any of those incidents, Bentley is strong.
" No, always," he says. " I'm not the sort of person to have worries. Everything happens for a purpose and I was only a fresh man having a laugh. Nothing got hurt. After the waters incident, Harry evidently got angry with me, but I was content. We'd qualified for the Champions League. After that, I did n't play for Spurs much more, but I would do it once more! "
Bentley declines to say whether there is anything he regrets with sorrow. Despite having a close second, one point.
" I suppose if I absolutely had to choose, the way I left Blackburn in 2008 could have been handled a little better," he tells FFT. " I've often put my best foot forward for Rovers, but I now feel like a good time to end." Spur came in for me and it was a great option. But I did n't really have the opportunity to introduce myself to the fans.
Years later, I did gain to the team, but that was entirely different. It would have been good to keep that first moment on better terms. However, that's not really a dread. Everything happens for a purpose, like I said. That's my tagline. "
