According to reports, the Bundesliga is apparently going over whether to allow the use of lights in stadiums.
Although pyrotechnics and flares can create amazing spectacles that transform football stadiums around the world, they are still prohibited in a number of nations.
But that could soon be changing, as the German Football League ( DFL ) are reportedly opening the door for pyrotechnics to be permitted in stadiums, much to the delight of Ultras everywhere.
After the DFL announced a two-year pilot program that would allow pyrotechnics in first and second section stadiums, according to European publication Bild, they are set to talk to the Norwegian FA.
There are several issues with the use of accredited pyrotechnics in designated areas of the stadiums, and only those over the age of 18 who are" calm and identifiable" may use them it. The DFL and Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann did meet to discuss potential changes, adding that missiles and firecrackers will still be prohibited according to the report.
