A critical Arsenal player has been poached by Manchester City after a significant transfer was made.
Arsenal forward Vivianne Miedema will join Manchester City on a complimentary transfer after her lease expires, according to Manchester City.
Miedema, the all-time leading goalscorer for the English Premier League, joins Manchester City after seven years at Arsenal, where she scored 79 goals. During her day in North London, Miedema won the WSL name in 2018/19 as well as three Children's League Cups, and in May 2022 she signed a deal with the Raiders which made her the highest- paid sexual player in England.
However, only seven months later, she received a tear to her anterior cruciate ligaments, an injury he has struggled to recover from as a result. However, in 2023/24 Miedema managed only 13 looks in all events for Arsenal, with her presence partly why the Gunners came up short in the WSL last name.
However just 27, Miedema also has plenty left to offer, yet. The French foreign hopes to increase her chances of success in England and makes the move to Manchester City in an effort to increase her total.
" They have the same aspirations as me," Miedema said. " They want to win the league and headings. Looking forward, I've often wanted to play with the world's best people, and I think City do just that.
" I have n't played as much football as I would have wished over the past two years, but I think and hope my best years are still to come. I'm hoping to be able to contribute as much as I can to the team.
" I am really truly excited to be part of the team and for the women to maybe help me and get me back to my best. If I get back to my best suddenly then we can accomplish really wonderful things up".
City, also, have just picked up one WSL name since being promoted to the best aircraft in 2014, and obviously have the motives to match Miedema's passion. The forward prefers to drop strong to obtain the ball, which could help the team with Bunny Shaw starting up front, a player with brilliant action, strong off both legs, and extreme intelligence.
Miedema may play for the Netherlands in their Euro 2025 qualification matches against Italy and Norway before joining the Manchester City club at the end of July. She did use the No. 6 sweater at Manchester City.
