Kevin Campbell, a previous Arsenal and Everton legend, passed away after a brief illness that required him to spend the final few weeks of his career in a hospital.

Information of the disease are unfamiliar, although both Arsenal and Everton released small claims upon Campbell's hospitalisation.

Campbell's former team- partner Mark Crossley announced the defender's moving on X ( formerly Twitter ) early on Saturday night.

Remembering Everton's and Arsenal's image

Crossley's statement reads:" Life can be so violent at times Totally devastated with news of my ex- Forest team- mate Kevin Campbell's passing, a real gentleman, a tremendous player, a shining light of a dressing room, fun- caring guy, thoughts are with all his family and friends RIP mate".

Arsenal quickly confirmed the news, stating to the media:" We are devastated to learn that our former scorer Kevin Campbell has passed away.

Everyone at the team adored Kevin. At this challenging time, we are all thinking about his family and friends. Rest in peace, Kevin."

Campbell joined the 1991 club winning side as he advanced through the ranks at Arsenal. In the same year, he won both the FA Cup and the League Cup, which produced the UEFA Cup Winners ' Cup the following month.

After spending a year away in Turkey, he spent three favorably remembered times with Nottingham Forest before moving back to England with Everton in 1999.

Campbell made about 500 looks in across a great profession, scoring 148 goals.
