Euro 2024 has come to an end with Spain overcoming England in the last – but which player won the Golden Boot for the game's top scoring?

Euro 2024 has come to an end after Spain beat England 2-1 in an interesting last in Berlin on Sunday. In full, 117 goals were scored in 51 games across a quarter of activity in Germany, with an average of 2.29 goals per match.

And the goals were instead spread out this period, with no player netting more than three days in the western competition. Six people were tied on three goals at Euro 2024 and UEFA has decided that all of those may reveal the Golden Boot.

Past Euro have seen help used as a tie-break, which would have given Leipzig midfielder Olmo the medal on his own, but Uefa announced this week's would just be decided on goals.

Spain's Dani Olmo, England's Harry Kane, Georgia's Georges Mikautadze, Germany's Blake Musiala, the Netherlands ' Cody Gakpo and Slovakia's Ivan Schranz all scored three days at the Euros and each will reveal the dignity of winning the award.

That is a shift from Euro 2020, when Cristiano Ronaldo and the Czech Republic's Patrik Schick were tied on five goals, with the prize handed to the Portuguese kindness of him having an aid to his title.

Two of the six, Kane and Musiala, play their sport for Bayern Munich. But for the England captain, it is likely to be limited comfort after he misses out on a team prize again afterwards.

Kane, who also won the Golden Boot at the 2018 World Cup, has said he will exchange all of his personal accolades for a winners ' medal with England ahead of the last against Spain. However, the rush is on him.

England's Jude Bellingham and Spain set Nico Williams and Fabián Ruiz were among 10 people to end the game on two goals.
