England are preparing a package for one of the team's standout performers
In talks to sign a player who can prove himself as the Reds manager's primary filing, Arne Slot, are currently being held by Liverpool.
The Reds have been very quiet in the transfer industry so far as Slot evaluates his club ahead of the 2024/25 time, despite the Dutchman taking over as manager at the start of June.
However, that may shift as a result of Liverpool's desire to close a quick transfer offer.
England are reportedly in talks with Wolves winger Pedro Neto over a possible deal, according to GiveMeSport.
Arsenal has constantly been cited as the club's most good choice for Neto, who has frequently been linked with a move ahead from Molineux. The Portuguese winger could be heading to Anfield rather, with his adviser, Jorge Mendes, pushing for him to find a move to a bigger team.
Since arriving in the Premier League in 2019, Neto has impressed with his playing abilities and fast pace. The 24-year-old is n't the most prolific of wingers, though, having scored just 14 times in 135 appearances for Wolves in all competitions during his five seasons at the club.
Neto has n't yet returned to pre-season training, which would necessitate any further delay in any potential deals because he represented Portugal at Euro 2024. Since Slot is awaited with his first season at the pub, Liverpool will work hard to get the deal done as soon as possible.
If Liverpool are to sign Neto, his contract will likely charge them around £60 million, with another three years however remaining on it. Though a big price tag, the winger still has plenty of room to improve and grow under Slot. Transfermarkt principles Neto at £50m.
In DataVictory's view, Neto to Liverpool is certainly a possibility, though a left-winger does n't seem like a priority for the Reds. They've now got Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota capable of playing that, while different positions in the crew would ideally want reinforcing. With that being said, landing Neto would be a significant statement of purpose.
