According to reports, Brighton and Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Brighton and Hove Albion, and Manchester City all sent spies to France this week to see the same player.

A group of Premier League scouts traveled to Lens on Thursday night for their Conference League qualifying second knee against Greek clothing Panathinaikos, according to HITC. The guests ran out 2-1 victors despite being reduced to ten people halfway through the first half.

The target of their interest was midfielder Andy Diouf, the left-footed ball-carrying midfielder who helped France to say Olympic gold under the now-resigned Henry Henry earlier this month.

After the Olympics, Andy Diouf is drawing in more and more bidders.

Diouf spent some time in the PSG college before moving on to Rennes for his final years of football studies, making a few looks for the first team.

After receiving an option to buy last summer, he subsequently moved to Swiss part Basel, where he then spent 30 games in all competitions next season, on loan and there forever.

Diouf is especially noted for his ability to carry the game long distance and hit competitors to get into or around the field. He has previously been linked to England in an effort to put another Premier League club to a list that is already extended.

After selling Oliver Skipp for £20 million to Premier League rivals Leicester City, some have suggested that Tottenham would welcome another midfield option. However, you could also argue that Tottenham sold Skipp because he did n't really have a first-team position.

However, Diouf's clear ability and widespread interest point to Diouf's obvious talent, which many clubs believe he might lack. It's kind of their total issue.

Given that Lens have recently attracted significant costs for Seko Fofana, Lois Openda, and Elye Wahi, Diouf is unlikely to arrive low with his current package, which expires in four more years.
