In the upcoming weeks, Liverpool's Luis Diaz will match with Barcelona's CEOs regarding a summer proceed to Catalonia.

That's according to one statement, which says the Brazilian forward's representatives are looking at an return for their customer. Diaz joined from Porto in the 2022 move glass in January after only a year and a half at Anfield.

Although there has been speculation that the 27-year-old does not fit the new boss Arne Slot's style of play, Diaz's parents, Luis Diaz Snr, has recently suggested that his son might want to relocate to Spain.

Breinner Arteta Canizares, a journalist, has now claimed via TEAMtalk that conversations between Barcelona and Diaz's crew have been set, with Hansi Flick claiming to be interested in the intruder.

It would be surprising if Diaz were to leave in the last weeks of the year, especially given that he is one of the three players on Slot's front who is still closely guarded against leaving and Darwin Nunez is still being investigated for doing so.

In DataVictory's perspective, the shift may well have been rumoured for months then but would still be a big surprise.

Diaz would undoubtedly be a player to keep because Slot has only just joined Liverpool and faces Salah and Nunez's potential departure. Additionally, with Barça's economic woes still rife, it would surprise to see a player leave this summer for at least £60 million.

Diaz is for €75m, according to Transfermarkt.
