Mykhailo Mudryk was given a €100 million loan by Chelsea in January 2023, but the Ukrainian is today a resident of east London.
Mykhailo Mudryk, a legend of Chelsea, has had a difficult season playing football. Today, his time could be off, with the Blue prepared to get rid of him this January.
When he joined Stamford Bridge during the 2023 spring transfer window, the winger was viewed as a great statement of purpose. Mudryk was expected to signal for Arsenal until Chelsea swooped in to gazump the bargain, paying a report for a Russian player.
Mudryk joined the club on an eight-and-a-half-year contract for an initial transfer fee of €70 million ( £62m ), potentially rising to €100m ( £89m ) in add-ons, according to Shakhtar Donetsk's official site, who rather unusually, revealed the fee in full, following the sale. In the year-and-a-half since, however, the 23-year-old has n't adapted to English football.
Mudryk has scored only five league goals in 48 looks over three months and four professionals. There were fears, however, prior to his move to London that having made just 65 senior team appearances as a professional, he may have a long version interval– but he has n't been given consistent minutes in American sport.
Today, Bayern Munich and Marseille are said to be prepared to attack. Fichajes, a Spanish store, takes note of both Champions League winners ' interest.
Arsenal have also been linked heavily with Mudryk ever since he joined Chelsea. The Gunners were in for the Ukrainian before his eventual transfer to their adversaries, with one concerning statement coming up after claiming that he" cried" when he signed for the Blue instead of the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta's side may still be interested in taking Mudryk off Chelsea's hands and therefore ca n't be discounted from the race for his signature. But, DataVictory believes it's unlikely that their current interest in Mudryk is particularly strong given that they've now taken Raheem Sterling on mortgage from the Blue.
In DataVictory's opinion, the best thing for Mudryk would be to go on mortgage to obtain game-time at another club. The length of his commitment suggests that a permanent return would be almost impossible unless Chelsea are willing to get a colossal loss on him– though cutting their losses the n't been ruled out at this level.
Mudryk is undoubtedly a confident player, but his Blue job has almost looked like he's losing. Off the bench, he did well on his debut against Liverpool, but he has n't looked the same since, and the upheaval has n't helped his case. It seems doubtful that he will ever get the arm around him that he seems to need now that the likes of Pedro Neto, Jadon Sancho, and Joao Felix are all competing for positions on the team.
TEAMtalk have followed the record with resources claiming that an exit is "very possible", no simply revealing much more about the condition. They even claim that Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile and Ben Chilwell are likely to be axed this January.
The links to Bayern are amazing given how some vast options they already have in their crew – but in terms of runners, we reckon they had allowed another star capable of providing an in-behind threat. Apparently, their interest in Mudryk has diminished since Vincent Kompany joined the club.
Marseille, meanwhile would likely use Mudryk on the left in the same kind of role. For our money, they seem more likely.
Mudryk is worth €35m, as per Transfermarkt. His contract runs out in 2031.
