Following incredible shows at Euro 2024, Arsenal is ready to make a move for Nico Williams.

The Spain winger has been in electronic form over the last fortnight. Williams scored the opening in the last in Berlin on Sunday, and alongside 17-year-old Lamine Yamal on the opposite side, was one of the major factors that Luis de la Fuente's part triumphed.

Williams is very much a gentleman in need. Chelsea are said to be curious, also, but a new report claims that the Basque winger is a "priority" for Arsenal, who are in the marketplace for support for Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka on either side.

Sport in Spain, via Sport Witness, calls Williams the" chosen one" for Arsenal. Obviously, the Athletic Club sun is the Gunners ' "favourite choice" for the left wing, too.

Arsenal are strongly in the competition for the 22-year-old alongside Barcelona, who may struggle financially with the Premier League rivals, according to a report released earlier this month by Spanish store AS. The northern Britons have been working on offers for different people, but, like as Riccardo Calafiori and Williams ' Euros-winning team-mate, Mikel Merino.

In DataVictory's mind, this would be a vision transfer for Arsenal– and there's no denying that he's on the sensor. The single problem is with the finances.

Though we understand that Williams has a £50 million transfer section, that's only the tip of the iceberg in terms of the funds needed to sign him. The starlet may probably need upwards of £250, 000 a month to keep Athletic, which may threaten Mikel Arteta's properly assembled wage structure.

In the past, Arsenal struggled to switch large-spending employees, which created a culture of contract termination rather than sale. It's telling that target for this transfer glass, such as Calafiori and Merino, are small workers at their respective venues: Calafiori, for instance, is rumoured to only be on £15, 000-a-week at Bologna.

Will Arteta be willing to put Williams to the Emirates ' pay hierarchy? The likes of Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus all earn the most at the club – and signing a high-wage 22-year-old, unproven in English football and not necessarily a starter, does n't seem like the kind of move that the Basque boss would engineer.

Now, the Raiders have Saka, Martinelli, Jesus, Leandro Trossard and Reiss Nelson as selections out extensive, with the latter expected to leave. Arsenal would be very interested in signing Williams, but it might need to make a change.

Transfermarkt claims that Williams is for €60m. His lease expires in 2017.
