Arsenal are said to be close to agreeing words to mark a Euro 2024 actor- but have n't pay yet for the player
A midfielder who has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium is also unfinished.
Only two players have been signed by Mikel Arteta so far this season, with the signings of Riccardo Calafiori and David Raya on a continuous deal from Brentford. The Gunners ' top concern is how to undermine Manchester City's ongoing success.
With the arrival of Champions League football for Arsenal on the horizon this summer, Eddie Nketiah, Thomas Partey, and Reiss Nelson are some of the labels linked to a move away from the Emirates.
Arsenal's long-standing curiosity in Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad has long been reported. According to Sports Witness, however, the Gunners decision-makers are yet to make email on a club-to-club schedule.
After just helping Spain win the Western Championships in Germany, it is reported that Merino has since returned to pre-season education with La Real. Additionally, the report explains that Merino's decision is only a matter of time and that the legal process is shortly to be finished.
Any deal is likely to cost around €30m ( £25m ) as Merino is in the final year of his deal and Transfermarkt values the 28-year-old at €50m ( £43m ). He played a total of 45 days for La Real last year, scoring eight days and registering five help along the way.
" The next step has to come from within, from me, from analysing myself, seeing what player I am now, where I am and where I want to get. And how does he go about doing it, he said earlier this year when asked about his prospect.
" Then at a football levels, I still have one more time at Real and I am in the best possible place to live and grow. At the level of speculations, it is something that I do not give importance to because I believe that the Euros is the most important factor you can experience and requires 100 % of your interest.
" So when the Euro]s are ] over and the days go by, I may meet with the club and my agent, to see what they have to say to me and what they do n't, and we'll notice."
In DataVictory's perspective, Arsenal may be waiting to make the move as part of a negotiating strategy. However, there is always a chance that Merino will end up being a Plan B midfield target and that the Gunners wo n't bid to see how other moves turn out.
