Another seasoned celebrity might get lost in Chelsea.
One of Chelsea's most expert American players could leave the team for Manchester City with the most recent twist in a summer full of surprises.
Chelsea parted ways with Mauricio Pochettino, who the league decided to replace with Enzo Maresca, who had just won the title of Leicester City.
Since then, it's been a storm of transfer activity at Stamford Bridge, with £54million Pedro Neto becoming the team's seventh signing of the summer. A host of domestic people have left the club in order to alleviate the team's PSR place, although Conor Gallagher's move to Atletico Madrid appears to have hit the rocks with the player set to return to the UK after spending five nights in Spain waiting for the move to get completed.
And now another recognizable face could be on the way up, as TEAMtalk claim that Manchester City may make a move for their long-term specific Ben Chillwell, following a harsh assessment of the left-back from Maresca.
Chilwell has been hoping that he would be able to turn the site on an injury-hit time and create a level under Maresca, but the 27-year-old does not appear to fit into the Italian's style of play and has been sidelined for most of the training.
" Chilly is left-back, for sure", Maresca told journalist Ben Jacobs last month. " The Chilly position is a bit sensitive. In terms of a place, we are attempting to find a solution for him. He definitely needs some more day. By "delicate," I mean finding his best status, no [his]potential at the club].
" We want people that you do at 100 percentage in their jobs. I am sure, for instance, Malo]Gusto] and Reece]James ] can both do the work required of them in the next two-three time and they can both end with more help, or be more dangerous, than they were in the past.
They are capable of making "last moves" or adding some aids because of their excellent quality in that role.
According to TEAMtalk, Chilwell "has taken an extremely dim see" of these claims that he lacks the qualities needed to play in the first team and is willing to leave the club with Chelsea willing to pay the right amount.
City have long been fans of Chilwell, and according to a statement, Chelsea's asking amount would be in the region of £40 million.
That cost is well above Chilwell's £24million Transfermarkt assessment and in DataVictory's mind, may make this a non-starter, as City have not built the club they have by overspending on injury-hit people of that time.
