On Saturday, Real Madrid officially introduced their new signing, Endrick, in a grand ceremony. The Brazilian forward, acquired from Palmeiras, transferred for a base fee of €35 million, with potential add-ons reaching €25 million, plus an additional €12 million in related tax expenses, as reported by Spanish media.
Endrick's family attended the event, with his father visibly moved to tears. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez began the ceremony, praising Endrick: "Dear Endrick, this is the moment you've dreamed of since childhood. That little boy knew he wanted to become a professional footballer and play for Real Madrid. You've realized your lifelong dream."
He continued, "Today, your family and girlfriend are here with you, and along this journey, you'll have the support of the world's best fans. These fans never give up, and neither will you, drawing strength from them. You are a rising star in football, and we proudly welcome you to this family."
Perez highlighted the strong connection between Real Madrid and Brazilian players, naming legends like Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, and Kaká. He emphasized that current stars Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, and Militao would help Endrick adapt to life at the club.
Endrick then spoke, struggling to hold back tears: "I want to thank everyone who came to the Bernabéu today. I didn't expect so many people. The fans are incredibly passionate, and I'm thrilled to be here because I've been a Real Madrid fan since childhood. I'm so happy to be here now."
He added, "I can't put into words how I feel, but I've always wanted to be here. This is my dream, and it has come true. Now, let's all shout together: Hala Madrid!" Endrick then kissed the Real Madrid crest, responding to the fans' cheers, with his family joining him on stage for photos.
During the subsequent press conference, Endrick shared more about his emotions: "I didn't expect to cry, but I've loved Real Madrid since I was young. I used to follow Cristiano Ronaldo and wanted to learn more about the club because of him. I've loved Real Madrid since I was a child, and my tears came from my soul. I hope I can spend my entire career here."
He also mentioned the support from fellow Brazilians Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, and Militao, who have been helping him settle in. "They have talked to me about life at the club, and I'm eager to learn from them and build a strong friendship," Endrick said.
Reflecting on the warm welcome from fans, Endrick said, "I was amazed by how many fans showed up for the ceremony. Seeing the stadium almost full, I thought, 'These fans are incredible.' Hearing them chant my name was a special feeling."
Regarding competition for a starting position, Endrick remained focused on learning and contributing to the team. "I can't think too much about that right now. I'm happy to be here and eager to learn from these extraordinary players. I want to help the team in any way I can," he stated.
Endrick acknowledged the differences between Brazilian and European football, noting, "The style and pace are different. I'll work hard in training to adapt."
He concluded with his ambitions: "If possible, I want to win everything here. I want to help Real Madrid win as many titles as possible."
