The first two or three months of the regular season wo n't be used by the New York Knicks starting center. As he recovers from ankle surgery, Mitchell Robinson wo n't be able to play until December or January, according to reports.
In December, Robinson initially had surgery to repair his left hip from a strain injury. He made a return to the Knicks ' first-round playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers in March, only to have his knee injured. In May, Robinson had another hip operation, and he was scheduled to return in six to eight weeks. However, it is obvious that there have been some hiccups.
However, the Knicks wo n't attempt to rush Robinson back despite a need at center. The team apparently wants him to be absolutely good before he returns the judge.
Confined to 31 games last year, the 7-footer averaged 5.6 details, 8.5 touchdowns and 1.1 prevents per game. In six NBA seasons, Robinson has averaged 8 items, 7.9 rebounds and 1.9 stones while shooting 70 % from the ground. But, he has even missed 125 regular season games during the past four years.

Coach Tom Thibodeau anticipates that Julius Randle may play in a small-ball lineup while OG Anunoby and Josh Hart can support bigger people.
