Arsenal are rushing to weave down a vital member of the squad down to a new lease amid attention from Spanish companies, according to reports.

The Gunners are gearing up for the new strategy with a goal to ultimately defeat Manchester City in the name race, having finished in second place under Mikel Arteta for the first two seasons.

The Spaniard has created one of the most remarkable teams in the world over his career, with a mixture of crafty signings, redeveloping misfits and some really talented college graduates. But, as the impressive North London outfit struggles to find silverware, debate starts to spread about a number of key people who may be causing them to relocate.

William Saliba has frequently been linked to Real Madrid over the past year, but it seems like his spouse is currently the subject of Spanish interest.

According to HITC, Barcelona are waiting in the wings prepared to move for Portuguese defender Gabriel Magalhaes, sparking the Gunners to create discussions to tie him down to the team.

Bayern Munich and the Catalan giant also have interest in Bayern Munich, despite the report's claim that Arsenal will work with Arteta to tie him down in the coming months due to Arteta's recent contract extension.

The Gunners have plenty of room to maneuver with Gabriel's present contract, which is set to expire in 2027, despite the perception that a new, longer-term deal with better terms would end any rumors linking him to a move elsewhere. The Portuguese is valued at €70 million by Transfermarkt.

The team is also considering the prospects for midfielders Jorginho and Thomas Partey, who will both be free to leave this summers unless new offers are agreed before the season's conclusion.

In DataVictory's perspective, tying Gabriel down to a new long-term offer is an utter no brainer. An imperious appearance at the back, the Portuguese is one of the biggest aspects in the team's new fall from relative obscurity to Western wealthy and will be near enough impossible to replace should he ever exit. The defender, who is believed to be making around £100,000 per month, has undoubtedly done so well that he will face off against the club's top earners in the near future.
