Mohammed Salah has opened up about his upcoming at Liverpool and has less than a year left.
Unexpectedly, Mohamed Salah revealed that no decision has been made regarding his coming at Liverpool, implying that his present contract terms are in flux.
Salah is free to leave the team at the end of the 2024/25 period for free with less than a year left on his England package. In fact, he's allowed to start speaking to venues outside of England on January 1 and even sign a pre-contract arrangement, meaning there's much time to waste in negotiations.
But while he, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk are all out of contract following summer, Salah seems untouched. Speaking ahead of playing Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday, Salah admitted that his future is n't a pressing concern for him.
" I think with time you get more knowledge, more clever," Salah told Sky Sports. " Coming into the season, I was like ,'OK, I have one year left so let's just enjoy it'.
I'm really enjoying my time playing for Liverpool, not even thinking about the commitment at the moment. I do n't want to think about next year, I do n't want to think about the future. We will see, so let's just appreciate the last year.
The most crucial thing is that I'm only being present and taking things one morning at a time, which is it. "
Jurgen Klopp's replacement, Arne Slot, may play a role in Salah's selection. While things have started well under the Dutchman, with two win in two games, Salah emphasizes the differences between the two leaders.
" It's been a big change," Salah said. " I had been with Jurgen for seven or eight years, but now with the new boss there's various items. I enjoyed it before and still do today.
" We play a different style of soccer right today," he said. The supervisor then wants to keep control of the ball, so with Jurgen, we might just get counter-press and attempt to attack in their half constantly. But today we need to control the game, maybe slow things down because that's part of the plan, and that's a big difference. "
