You're in luck if Euro 2024's conclusion has left a hole in your heart that just a major sporting event you complete.
Starting only 12 days after the Euros last in Berlin is season's another tentpole event- the Paris Olympics. Men's and women's sports will be competing in the 32 sports that will take place in the French capital, despite the fact that it is a completely different game from the typical summer competitions.
How does it operate, and why Team GB wo n't be competing for the gold medal this summer.
How does the basketball game operate at the Olympic Games?
Since 1900, only the 1932 Summer Olympic Games, when FIFA were promoting their brand-new World Cup rivals, have hosted sports. In 1996, women's basketball was added for the first time.
FIFA has established guidelines for the men's tournament in order to prevent direct competition with the World Cup, with the latest model allowing three overage gamers per game.
In the women's sport, the Olympics is classified as a whole senior-level global competition.
Why are n't Team GB playing at the Paris Olympics?
We'll begin with the people, as that's the more difficult situation.

The position around the women's team is unique, as an agreement was reached for the Tokyo Games in 2020, which saw the house nations agree that the highest-ranking nation between the four would say one of the three slots for Western sides, if they count. However, England, the best home state winner, were unable to count, with France, Spain and Germany taking the three areas.
