With Jose Mourinho looking forward to a meeting, Tottenham may start discussions with Fenerbahce about the purchase of one of their people.
Over the price of one of their gamers this summer, Tottenham Hotspur may have opened discussions with Fenerbahce and former boss Jose Mourinho.
Spurs struggled with their first form in the second half of the campaign, which saw them finish second in Ange Postecoglou's primary season in charge of the north London club.
Major changes are anticipated as the original Celtic boss prepares to transform the squad according to his style ahead of the Australian's next season in the N17.
Pierre-Emilie Hojbjerg is one person who struggles to fit into Postecoglou's system and has been repeatedly linked with a move in the past.
Mourinho signed the midfielder for Spurs in the summer of 2020, and according to Turkey media Sabah, the Portuguese is interested in reuniting with the Dane at Fenerbahce.
Mourinho indicated to Turkey media last week that he was considering signing participants from his former team Roma, but that Tottenham might be a better option.
Hojbjerg is expected to be allowed to keep Spurs this summer despite only making eight Premier League starts in 2023/24. The Dane's agreement runs until 2025.
In DataVictory's view, Hojbjerg still has plenty to offer, but he does n't quite fit Ange Postecoglou's style and the time appears right for both parties to move on. A summer sales and a possible partnership with Mourinho in Turkey, if the Dane is happy to move to a less competitive market place, are possible options now that he is out of commitment in 2025.
