Arsenal almost won the 2023/24 Premier League, but a former person has expressed concerns about manager Mikel Arteta.
Sudden sources have criticized former Fleet director Mikel Arteta, who has questioned his Premier League credentials.
In each of the previous two Premier League months, Arteta led Arsenal to next place behind Manchester City, and in 2023/24 Pep Guardiola's area finished only two points clear of them.
The north Londoners, however, appeared to be in a strong place both periods, only to be outgunned by City in the last days.
Past Gunners keeper Jens Lehmann said in an interview that" Arteta has done really well to bring Arsenal away," but if he is the right man for the job right now, I'm not sure.
" Last time, they were leading, and in one fortnight [April], they lost it [three draws and one defeat]. With a lead of 2-0, [ Bukayo Saka ] Saka missed the penalty to draw with West Ham. It was two factors. "
Lehmann added that "people who hire coaches sometimes do n't understand that the personality of the coach is extremely important as well." He is unsure whether Arteta has the winning mentality to help Arsenal win the Premier League.
" Observe the coach's character." Is he successful, or does he just make you feel good after the break? Inside a soccer team folks thought the same [about me ] but after a while they changed their minds, they thought :'Okay, he is tough but he helps me to win'.
