Waqar Younis is set to sign on for another stay with Pakistan cricket, this time successfully as the union's football chairman.
Although it is believed that a couple issues still need to be resolved, Waqar met with PCB president Mohsin Naqvi on Monday in Lahore to discuss the interview. One of those may center on the nature of the position. Though Waqar did begin for the time being as a consultant, as the advisor to the chairman on cricket affairs, the title may change previously- and if- the appointment is made lasting. The ECB's managing director's position is thought to be comparable to Robert Key's current position, which is then envisioned.
A board official stated that Naqvi wanted to appoint a former cricketer to get over" all cricketing counts, including selection, high performance, and channels," allowing the president to continue with the board's operations. Naqvi has tremendous demands on his day, given that he is also Pakistan's Interior Minister, one of the most senior assets in the case. Under Ramiz Raja, Faisal Hasnain served as the company's CEO, but when Raja, who had already folded administrative functions under the chair, resigned, the old law was enacted, and it no longer has a CEO role.

In between the international fixtures will play out a newly plump domestic schedule, with three tournaments ( one for each format ) added to the calendar, as well as the PSL.
