After missing the first round, India spin pleased that he has made his Super Eight debut.
After spending the class period waiting in the wings, Kuldeep Yadav continued his work as Super Eight professional, taking 3 for 19 in India's complete victory over Bangladesh in Antigua.
Kuldeep has presently taken five innings across India's two Super Eight suits, after picking up 2 for 32 against Afghanistan on Thursday in Barbados.
Kuldeep was forced to play on the Caribbean portion of the competition because India believed the pitches may better fit his left-arm wrist. And he was aware that his knowledge may be useful once he returned to the archipelago where he made both of his white-ball appearances for India during the 2017 West Indies trip. He admitted to wanting to play in the group levels.
In the US, I was assisting the team-mates and carrying the coffee. That is more like using," joked Kuldeep. " I would have loved to bowl it. But it's more like an American type of batsman. But here I made my T20 [and ] ODI debut back in 2017. I knew the circumstances very well, just the size and trying to change my speed. Therefore, it's ideal for bowlers to dish below. "
Although Kuldeep was given a strong reason to join the team on Caribbean surfaces, it is unusual for a bowler to play their first aggressive game so soon and at such a critical T20 World Cup crucial moment. But Kuldeep said he did n't feel any added pressure playing for the first time in the tournament at the Super Eight stage.
" It's very important to perform every match, take every sport as a regular activity. Now certainly we playing at Super Eight, naturally we have a lot of stress as effectively. We're going to play Australia in a couple of days ' time. The innings are great for spinner, as you have seen in the last few activities as well. Everything changes. My intention was to pitcher four overs. Simply altering my rhythm and keeping with the size. For me it's wonderful. "
Bowling in the middle step, Kuldeep went wicketless in his first over but struck in each of his future three.
