Alyssa Healy, the captain of Australia, has since recovered from her T20 World Cup-ending injuries and is now able to play for the WBBL, giving the Sydney Sixers a significant raise.

Healy, who ruptured the plantar fascia in her proper finger against Pakistan in Dubai, which forced her to miss the final team sport and semi-final where Australia were eliminated, is applicable for Friday's match against Melbourne Stars at North Sydney Oval where she will come up against Meg Lanning.

Speaking after Australia's semi-final lost against South Africa, Healy admitted she had wrestled with the phone over whether to try and enjoy.

" It was a really tough decision to make next day as to whether or not we're going to provide it a kick or not", she said. Instead of taking the risk, I tried to make the "team judgement" and sat down.

" I ruptured my heel fascia- totally damaged one and half ruptured the another. So it was just a matter of functionality and problems and what I could handle, and, finally, I perhaps only had one sport in me, and perhaps took the wrong risk".

Healy made the suggestion that there might need to be some task management following a time that includes the WBBL, ODI set against India and New Zealand, and then the Women's Ashes in January.

There will be a lot of cricket to play this summer, she said on the Willow Talk podcast." And with regards to getting myself through that, it's going to be about managing what I can and ca n't do, and that could be disappointing for me at times throughout the summer because I want to play every game but there's potential that might not take place, so we'll just have to see."

Adelaide Workers, the defending champions of the event, defeated the Sixers on Tuesday after Ellyse Perry scored 81 runs off 38 balls and won the match with a stunning victory over Melbourne Renegades.

Scotland's Sarah Bryce has been the various striking flour for Flyers with a matchwinner 36 never out against Crusaders followed by 62 of 44 pellets against Workers. She retains her position in the club with Flyers missing New Zealand allrounder Amelia Kerr who is suspicious for the entire opposition after picking up an wound in India.
