Josh Hull, the Leicestershire left-arm bowler, has been ruled out of England people's Test journey of Pakistan with a triple injury.

Hull, age 20, picked up the nitpick in his first Test match against Sri Lanka at the Kia Oval. The ECB pulled him out of the limited-overs series against Australia because they thought he needed to return.

Nevertheless, with the problem continuing, the decision was made on Thursday to have Hull over from the three-Test line. Before the first Test in Multan, which begins on October 7, England have chosen not to review a substitution. They may go to Pakistan with a 16-man crew on October 1.

As a point of difference for England's strike, Hull's first choice for the journey had been made in order to accelerate his creation. At 6ft7in, with his left-arm position and ability to bring the game into right-handers, he offered distinct abilities as the candidates looked forward to the Ashes next spring.

Following Mark Wood's damage in the first Test at Emirates Old Trafford, Hull was chosen to join the crew after taking five innings against Sri Lanka in a journey match. Head coach Brendon McCullum and ball expert James Anderson were attracted to a positive training impression, which gave them a surprise comeback at The Oval.

He showed lights of assurance, taking 3 for 53 in the first pitches, but went wicketless in the following as Sri Lanka chased down 219 to impose England's even Test battle of the summer. The match was Hull's 11th first-class match of his profession, coming in a time where he had managed only two innings in three Division Two looks for Leicestershire, at a significant regular of 182.50.

Hull's status in Pakistan and whether he will be taking a tour to New Zealand are still a mystery. The ECB will oversee his recovery.
