Any beliefs of a UK shutdown, in the PCB's opinion, are alarm and acquiesce to a bargain being reached.
Pakistan's house series against England in October will be broadcast on television, and the PCB and cricket supporters in England are still waiting for a resolution. In a business where the hunger for diplomatic cricket is drying up, a PCB official acknowledged to ESPNcricinfo that the first reserve price put out for the series was extreme, and tha it failed to draw broadcasters to provide negotiations was expected.
The PCB is comfortable in reaching a bargain, even though the Guardian reported on Thursday that Sky and TNT Sport have shown much interest in acquiring the right. However, according to executives from a television company that ESPNcricinfo spoke to, questions remain regarding whether the club's strategies for safe television rights are facilitating the realization of these deals.
Between August 2024 and December 2026, the PCB was forced to accept a valuation of more than a billion Pakistani rupees below its reserve rate for private rights to house line.
