When it comes to the bigger image, like the future children's T20 World Cup in the UAE in October, Jamah Rodrigues would have no other option but to check herself in a dynamic environment and in crucial moments whenever possible.
An established T20 globetrotter, having featured in the Hundred and WBBL, Rodrigues is currently playing in the Women's Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) for Trinbago Knight Riders ( TKR ), alongside India team-mate Shikha Pandey.
" These are the games that I'm really going to get before going and playing like appropriate team matches [T20 World Cup]," Rodrigues said at a media contact organised by FanCode.
" I'm really looking forward to a few things that I'm working on to try and apply it here because when you do it in exercise it's different. When you do it in a match, it's own unique and franchise cricket has always excited me. "
Rodrigues made her worldwide debut as a student in 2018, but when her job hit a rough patch in 2021, she rediscovered her shape during her day with North Compressors in the Hundred. She overcame a bad run of form with a 43-ball 92 in her very first game that, which left her without a half-century international for more than 18 months. Her 249 runs in seven innings nevertheless were the second-best overall in that time. She had a following wind in her profession.
Without the WCPL stay, Rodrigues would have had to be content with preparation camps, match model, and exercise matches as she prepares for her fourth T20 World Cup.

" I love travelling, I love playing for various teams," Rodrigues said when asked about the possibility of playing in the Caribbean. " I love meeting new people and new bowlers and getting to know them, how their thinking plays and how to play in different situations. Because every time you go play cricket, you do n't get the same kind of situation. Every day it changes.
I consider it more as a readiness for the T20 World Cup and as an additional duty playing for TKR to ensure that my team wins at the end of the tournament, so I'm just looking forward to playing these games and I'm very excited about that. "
