Hughes is available for the entire year and has a spot in an international batting lineup.
For the 2025 County Championship, Sex retained international players Daniel Hughes and Jayden Seales, leaving Cheteshwar Pujara, an Indian sun, without a chance of playing for the team.
American left-hander Hughes will be available for all Championship and T20 Vitality Blast fixtures next year, while West Indies right-arm fast Seales is available for the first strip of Championship accessories.
With 560 works on average, 5 half-centuries and a highest score of 96 no out, Hughes was the top move scoring in the party levels of this year's Blast. On September 4, he helped Sussex reach the house quarter-finals against the Lancashire Lightning. As Sussex tries to earn its first campaign, he will even play in the club's final five Championship games this year.
" We are all happy that Dan will be back for the entire second season," said Sussex head coach Paul Farbrace, who stated:" It's not an easy task to take over from Cheteshwar, but Dan has fit in brilliantly."
" Dan has been leading group for us on and off the industry", Farbrace added. " He has brought a wealth of knowledge to the dressing area and has significantly helped some of our young pitchers with the development of their game".
In 2024, Pujara made his second consecutive appearance in Sussex, playing seven Championship game before Hughes arrived to begin the Blast and the Championship. This time, they accounted for the team's outside force along with Seales and Australian Nathan McAndrew. If the club wishes to sign any additional international players, Farbrace is likely to appear at bowlers now that Hughes is available for the entire season in 2025.
Hughes claimed that returning to the team was a "dream come true." " I've loved my first winter at Sussex. I've now felt at home thanks to the boys, the coaches, the club, and the Sussex society as a whole. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish over the coming year and continue to improve."
Seales played in Sussex's initial seven Final matches this year, taking 38 wickets at an average of 25.29. His best innings and 124 runs against Derbyshire secured Sussex's place at the top of the next pitch with a 5 for 29 record.
In his 15 Test starts for the West Indies, he took a total of 62 innings, including 13 against England, and 13 against England. Farbrace described Seales as" a wonderful spinner and a high-quality man".
" He showed on several occasions during the first time that he runs in tough every game, whatever the situations and circumstance in the game", Farbrace said. " He gave himself a wonderful chance of success every day".
However, Glamorgan announced the filing of Fraser Sheat from New Zealand for the next quarter of County Championship games. Sheat, a right-arm bowler from Canterbury, has played 33 first class game taking 103 innings at an average of 25.08. When Glamorgan's season starts at Derbyshire on Thursday, he may immediately be drafted into the team.
