Ian Bell, the former England flour, has been appointed Sri Lanka's batting coach for their future journey of England. Sri Lanka are set to play three Testing starting August 21, and Bell may begin his position on August 16, which will last till the end of the series.

Since his pensions in 2020, Bell has worked extensively as a coach. He has recently worked as the batting coach of the England people's U-19 and England Lions clubs, assistant coach at Hobart Hurricanes, expert batting coach at Derbyshire and assistant coach of the New Zealand people's side before the 2023 ODI World Cup. Most late, he worked as an assistant coach at Melbourne Renegades in the BBL and has been assistant coach of the Birmingham Phoenix area in the People's Hundred.

Dhananjaya de Silva will guide the team, as announced by Sri Lanka last week for the England Tests. The three Tests will be in Manchester ( August 21-25 ), Lord's ( August 29-September 2 ), and the Oval ( September 6-10 ).
