Gujarat Titans and Delhi Assets are three places apart on the points board despite only two points. Titans are fifth, and like last month, have won and lost three of their first six games. Although Shubman Gill, their commander, averages 51 runs per game at a strike price of 151, he is not yet in the same elite kind as he was last year. The good news for Titans, however, is that Gill's most new innings was probably his best of IPL 2024.

Rashid Khan's comeback and success are another good things for them. He took four innings in four games for 36.25 and had an economy of 9.06 in his first two game, but he only has two at an average of 23 and an economy of 5.75 in his final two.

Rashid could be the person Titans apply to counter Gill's rival, Rishabh Pant, who comes into this challenge with 194 runs at a strike rate of 157, having scored two- half centuries and a match- winning 41 off 24 balls in Capitals ' most new fixture in Lucknow. Their brain- to- head history in all T20s reads 94 goes off 87 balloons for two dismissals.

The Capitals could possess made up for Mitchell Marsh's presence with the help of Jake Fraser-McGurk, who scored a fifty against Lahore, and Kuldeep Yadav's three-wicket pull on his return from harm, but they now have a bigger issue. In the spotlight

The best three wicket- buyers in IPL 2023 were all from Titans. One of them, Mohit Sharma, is their leading wicket- keeper this year also. His eight innings in six games have come at 27 every, though he has been taken for 9.39 runs an through. But when Mohit is bowling in Ahmedabad, his ordinary bends down to 13.03 and market to 7.82, so he could have an influence with his variants against Capital.

Jake Fraser- McGurk turned 22 a moment before taking Capital to a gain on his IPL album, when he clubbed 55 from 35 balls, but he's enjoyed some fame now. He scored a List A century off just 29 balls last October, beating AB de Villiers ' record of 31 deliveries. This February, in just his second ODI for Australia, he thumped 41 from 18 balls against West Indies. With Marsh and Warner missing, Fraser- McGurk can provide the spark Capitals need to move up the table.

Stats that matter

Only three batters have allowed more than 1000 runs in the IPL since 2022 while striking at over 140 on average and hitting 40 on average. Gill is the best across all three metrics.

Tristan Stubbs, another of Capitals' in- form batters, has had the upper hand over Rashid in their early face- offs. He's scored 22 runs off nine balls from Rashid in T20s, and hit three of them for sixes.

Ishant Sharma, who Miller has smacked for two fours and three sixes in nine T20 deliveries, has a strike rate of 288 against him. He's hit Mukesh Kumar, for 24 off eight balls and has strike rates of 171 and 168 against Khaleel Ahmed and Axar Patel.

Pitch and conditions

Ahmedabad had first- innings scores of 168 and 162 in two matches, but that went up to 199 when Titans played Punjab Kings. Expect the winning team to bowl first given that the chasing team only won the other two games.
