Oman and Namibia face off in a war of equal led by new commander Aqib Ilyas.

Namibia may be looking to improve on their outstanding previous victories by hosting their third T20 World Cup. They had surprised some by qualifying for the Super 12s in 2021, defeating Ireland and the Netherlands, and they had already defeated Sri Lanka in the first round but failed to advance.

They made it to T20 World Cup 2024 by dominating the Africa tournament, winning all six of their game. They will be aware that beating Oman and Scotland and pulling off an disturbed is their best chance of winning the Super 8s with England and Australia included in their class.
