Just three people of New Zealand's crew will be below 30 by the time the team arrives home
Is that the close, then? Is it over? For Trent Boult, at least, it is.
" Speaking on behalf of myself, this will be my next T20 World Cup", Boult told the media after taking a strengthen- environment 2 for 7 in what was basically a dead plastic against Uganda.

The future of what is now a deteriorating New Zealand team is brought into sharp focus with confirmation that Boult wo n't play in another T20 World Cup. In this squad, only three people will be under 30 years of age by the time the team returns home ( Mark Chapman has a day over the next few days ).
It is normal to query whether this is the start of a transition time for New Zealand, especially after they failed to advance out of their team. New Zealand had made the semi- championships of every ODI and T20 World Cup since 2015.
Boult and Tim Southee had played significant roles in the majority of those activities. After this sport- in which they bowled intact through the powerplay to keep Uganda 9 fro 3, and finished with combined figures of 5 for 11 in eight overs- Boult spoke as if he felt there would be limited opportunities for the two to enjoy together in the potential.
" I look at the collaboration with Tim with very proud memories", he said. " We bowled a lot of innings up. I know the relationship quite effectively, and naturally he's a very good companion on and off the floor. It was wonderful to wind up the time a little bit and observe a bit of bounce bowling at the top. Some excellent memories, and maybe a couple more however to come".
Earlier in the event, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson had also been asked whether he saw this event as the conclusion of a century, to which he replied:" No, I think there's still people that will be here for some day".
But at the very least, New Zealand will soon have to find a substitute for one of their greatest- always quicks.
