England names Ryana MacDonald-Gay as a member of their International squad to experience New Zealand.

Before the first game of the line against New Zealand at Chester-le-Street on Wednesday, England made South East Stars batsman Ryana MacDonald-Gay a first senior call-up.

MacDonald- Gay, 20, has represented England Under- 19s and England A and is currently the second- leading batsman- keeper in this month's Rachael Heyhoe- Flint Trophy, with 12 at 11.75 and a best of 5 for 31 from four games.

She has been added as include according to what mind coach Jon Lewis described as" a couple of niggles" in the 14- person class, and will meet up with the team in Durham on Tuesday.

" Ryana has been a striking bowling in private 50- over cricket and had a great 50- over journey of New Zealand with our England A team", Lewis said. " We have brought her in at this level as we have a couple of niggles in the club. Her reliability and ability level have impressed us greatly.

MacDonald- Gay made her Kent album as a 15- year- ancient in 2019 and has also represented Oval Invincibles in the Women's Hundred. On the England A journey of New Zealand in March, she took six innings in two 50-over games and five in two T20s.
