After failing to come up with a functional system, Bec had to call off their game against Newhaven.
After showing up for an FA Vase match against Newhaven, the non-league Whistling Bec realized they had forgotten any of their package. They had to grin at themselves in humiliation.

In a membership speech, they said:" Due to a mistake, we arrived at the surface today without our playing package. We regret that the match's referee ultimately decided against allowing a after kick-off to end the game because it was a huge error.

Chairman Steffen Wells said:" Everyone at the club has my complete assist and, as uncomfortable as we feel now, we will often pride ourselves on our hospitality, fairness and company.
