With a bone bruise in the right leg, Hornets ' Miles Bridges is out for at least two weeks.

Bridges is the Hornets ' second-leading scoring, though he's averaging seven fewer items per activity than last year.

The Charlotte Hornets wo n't have second-leading scorer Miles Bridges in their lineup for at least two weeks after he was diagnosed with a bone bruise in his right knee.

Bridges ' wound was actually announced by the team Friday, and he was listed as out on Friday's damage record for Charlotte's game with the Indiana Pacers. He'll get re-evaluated in two months, according to the team, but is expected to lose at least the Hornets ' following seven sports.

The seventh-year forward suffered the injury during Wednesday's 108-107 win over the Detroit Pistons. Bridges hyperextended his right leg while attempting to block a picture by Detroit's Jaden Ivey. He twisted his knee as he landed strangely.

" I only came down inappropriate a little bit", Bridges told Rod Boone of the Charlotte Observer after the game. " I'll be fine. I'll be nice".

An MRI examination Thursday revealed the tooth scar. Prior to leaving the match, Bridges tied a season-high with 27 points while likewise grabbing seven touchdowns. In the Hornets ' first eight games, he started slowly, averaging 14.6 points per game ( less than his career-high of 21 points per game last season ).

Bridges, 26, is the latest injury on Charlotte's frontline, joining centers Mark Williams ( foot strain ) and Nick Richards ( fractured rib ).
