On Sunday evening, Tottenham lost to regional foes Arsenal 1-0.
Following Sunday's battle to Arsenal in the north London derby, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has been warned that" the tension is going to start building" on him.
The Gunners left the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with all three points after a second-half Gabriel header as a number of well-known errors once more proved to be Spur ' fault. This day out, he upped the margins, telling Sky Sports:" I'll right myself- I do n't often get things, I always win issues in my next year. Nothing's changed.
" I've said it today. I do n't say things unless I believe them."
This state was quickly shot down in the Sky Sports studio by previous Arsenal sun and present Strictly Come Dancing enthusiastic Paul Merson.
" I like Ange, I like him, but I've got more chance of winning Firmly," Merson said.
' No, I do n't see it at the moment. Although there is n't much wrong, you have to look at Newcastle and where they are. Over the first three sports, Newcastle have perhaps been playing better than them, and they have more details than them.
" If they get best four- beautiful. It would be wonderful, in all seriousness, but they will need to get Solanke to score 20 goals, and they will only succeed if the crossing is improved.
" ' If the crossing do n't improve, you can put Haaland up there and it would n't improve".
Former England defender Matt Upson, who believes the force could soon mount on the American, noted Spur ' set-piece weakness on Radio 5 Live.
" Tottenham are extremely hard prone, which is a real issue. The actual hammer blow is not coming from them, but they are also not being scientific much.
The ball must be slammed into the back of the net if you want to be that offensive and open and free, but they wo n't do that. The pressure is going to begin to build a little on the boss."
After the game, many Spurs fans took to social media to express their support for the American, who helped the team finish fifth in the Premier League final year. However, some were beginning to question the club's direction.
" Would Spurs fans want to hop aboard the boss merry-go-round or do we have the persistence to up the director and again the trip? ", one admirer posted on X". In his first two conditions, Arteta finished eighth. Respect the procedure. Again Ange."
But patience was beginning to wear narrow with another followers.
" I'm not pushing Ange out still 1 no notion who to attract, "another posted on X". Where do you draw the series though? What number of games must we gain? How numerous set items conceded, lack of probabilities created, poor selection? Lose following 5?"
Then away for Spur is a League Cup game against Coventry on Wednesday night before they travel to Brentford for the Premier League on Saturday.
