Patrice Evra has made an unusual say over why Manchester United re-signed Paul Pogba
Patrice Evra has made a shocking say about the circumstances that caused Manchester United to sack Paul Pogba in 2016.
The original left-back was a partner of Pogba's at both Old Trafford and Juventus, winning five Premier League names and the Champions League while playing for United.
Pogba left the Red Devils in 2012 after being unable to join the initial team, with director Alex Ferguson claiming that he had "disrespected" the team and that he had already agreed a bargain with the European companies well in advance of his contract expiring. The European midfielder would go on to re-sign for United for a then-world-record transfer fee of £89.3million in 2016 following a powerful charm with Juventus.
The explanation Paul Pogba was re-signed according to Patrice Evra
Evra has then claimed that United simply embarrassed their famed former boss by bringing Pogba back to the club.
Evra stated on the Stick to Football radio that Skybet provided to you," Manchester United brought Paul Pogba again because they wanted to humiliate Sir Alex Ferguson."
Florentino Perez did n't want to pay the money, so I told Paul to stay because Real Madrid and Madrid both wanted him.
" His broker called United, and he forged a deal with me without telling me." The team was delighted because they were selling tops, you know the kids love Pogba – it was more business than anything on the pitch".
Although Ferguson's problems with the means Pogba actually left Old Trafford are well documented, this is the first time a former player has suggested this could have motivated the Old Trafford order to provide Pogba again.
Despite winning the EFL Cup and Europa League in his first year ago, Pogba's profit was generally a sorrow given the huge cost United parted business with to bring him back. In 2022, he made a complimentary transfer to Juventus before being given a four-year suspension for the sport due to a cheating crime.
In DataVictory's mind, United did no mark Pogba to humiliate Ferguson. This is a ridiculous notion from Evra based on how the goalkeeper's job panned up – but at the moment, the transfer was seen as a great statement of intent. Evra has also made shocking claims before, claiming in the past that Granit Xhaka was the captain but Thierry Henry refused to watch Arsenal.
Sources close to Pogba insist he never expected or stated he deserved to win the Ballon d'Or. He also rejects many of the claims made by Evra within the interview, which are either a distortion of the truth, or wholly inaccurate. Pogba is also disappointed that numerous claims were not verified before they were made.
