Pep Guardiola has until January 1 to make a decision regarding his coming at Manchester City.
Manchester City are making plans for life after Pep Guardiola's departure, with no known coming for the club's greatest director.
Guardiola's contract is set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 season, and despite Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak putting his best foot forward over the summer to persuade him to extend it, he has n't yet made a decision regarding what he will do.
At the end of 2023/24, after winning the Premier League for an extraordinary fourth-successive plan, Guardiola admitted that he was" closer to leaving than to staying".
In the event that the 53-year-old finally decides to end his occupation at the club, Manchester City have started succession planning, according to Sky Sports. They have created a list of possible replacements.
Manuel Pellegrini became the director of Manchester City in 2016, and Guardiola succeeded him. In the eight whole months since, he has won six Premier League names, the Champions League, two FA Cups and many different prizes and honors.
The 53-year-old has worked for Manchester City for significantly longer than the two other leagues he has previously worked for. He managed Barcelona for four months between 2008 and 2012, before spending only three strategies in charge of Bayern Munich between 2013 and 2016, following a week's journey.
Then into his seventh as Manchester City boss, there's definitely ability that another contract extension is a step too far at the time. Guardiola has signed three agreement extensions while still playing for the team, with the most current two adding an additional two years each.
The board also recognise that he ca n't continue forever, hence why the wheels are starting to be put into motion should he opt against another contract renewal. The document adds they want a choice made by Christmas, which does put the strain on him more.
In DataVictory's perspective, the longer it takes for Guardiola to decide on his coming, the less probable it seems he'll continue with the Premier League leaders. But while they've put a Christmas date on him, if Guardiola says that he would like to be on in April, it seems very improbable they had n't give him that desire.
