Barkley had said in June he planned to retire from broadcasting after the future NBA season.
After all, Charles Barkley wo n't be retiring from broadcasting after the 2024-2019 NBA season.
The sports Hall of Famer and" Inside the NBA" co-host, according to TNT Sports, has "reaffirmed his long-term devotion" to the system, which will allow him to "exclusively help for many years to appear."
Barkley said during the NBA Finals in June that he would withdraw from broadcasting after the forthcoming year.
" I like my TNT Sports home", Barkley said in a statement. Our citizens and keeping all together for as long as possible have always been and will continue to be my top priorities. The most amazing individuals working for us are the best. I'm eager to work with them both on the shows we're producing right now and the shows we'll build up later. This is the only spot for me. I have to state... The management team has worked hard and aggressively to add new components to TNT Sports, which is very exciting. I appreciate them and all of my coworkers' ongoing help, but most of all, our supporters. I'm going to offer my all as we keep them entertained for years to come".
The NBA announced in July that TNT's family firm, Warner Bros. Discovery, had failed to match Amazon Prime's portion of the new media rights package. The agreement also adds new NBA games to Amazon, a return to NBC, and new NBA policy on ESPN.
Although WBD promised to "take suitable motion", the 2024-25 NBA time will likely be the conclusion of TNT's 35-year connection with the group.
Barkley, who is entering his 25th time with TNT, signed a 10-year deal with the community in 2022.
