Manchester United might soon increase their summers paying beyond the £100 million mark.
West Ham's decision to give Manchester United their summers transfer plans appears to have had a significant impact. The Red Devils are said to be in' developed talks' over a major defense signing after a proposed move to the Hammers fell through.
In the current season, Erik ten Hag's side have now invested the majority of their squad's funding of around £100 million. French scorer Joshua Zirkzee has arrived from Bologna, with European centre-back Leny Yoro joining from Lille.
Another legend might soon be making the transition to Old Trafford from the globe. And he's previously played for Ten Hag, which has become somewhat of a design with recent arrivals at Manchester United.
United are in a good place to mark Bayern Munich full-back Noussair Mazraoui, according to Florian Plettenberg of German Sky Sport. West Ham had been in talks with the possible deal, but they decided against purchasing the 26-year-old.
Mazraoui and Ten Hag recently collaborated at Ajax, helping them reach the 2018/19 Champions League semi-finals. He left for Bayern in 2022.
The six-foot defender is now valued at around £25 million according to Transfermarkt. United are said to have agreed an initial payment of £15.5m with bonuses to pursue.
Mazraoui would give Ten Hag a versatile defensive solution if he were mainly a right-back but also capable of lining up against the departed. The Moroccan worldwide, who has 28 caps, has shown a particular level of versatility in a reversed function.
A three-time Eredivisie hero with Ten Hag's Ajaz, Mazraoui even won the 2022/23 Bundesliga subject at Bayern. Last year, he appeared for the European companies in 29 different competitions.
