In light of rumors that Kevin De Bruyne might abandon this summers, Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson is the subject of an offer from the Saudi Pro League.
In light of rumors that Kevin De Bruyne may even leave the Premier League champions this summer, Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson is reportedly considering a major sell from the Saudi Pro League.
Ederson is wanted by Al-Ittihad, with the Saudi part understood to have made an offer of around €25 million for the Brazilian goalkeeper.
But according to Fabrizio Romano, Ederson had previously agreed a move to Al-Nassr and would now remain open to joining Al-Ittihad after the first transfer collapsed. But, City are sticking to their pricing of between €50 and €60 million.
" Al Ittihad have approached Ederson and he remains keen on move to Saudi Pro League, as he also agreed on terms with Al Nassr but deal collapsed", Romano wrote on X ( formerly Twitter ).
" Speaks to pursue between leagues with Man City to rely on €50/60m pricing, no quick a... but Al Ittihad are trying".
De Bruyne and Al-Ittihad were reportedly working together earlier on Sunday, but Romano has refuted Romano's claims that this is false.
" Royal sources playing down information about Kevin De Bruyne reaching an agreement with Al Ittihad — told it's NOT true", he wrote on X.
De Bruyne's future is uncertain, though, as he approaches the end of his 33-year contract and has n't received any confirmation of a new deal.
In DataVictory's perspective, this is worrying for City. While the Manchester area have dominated English sport in recent years and won the treble in 2022/23, next season's subject race was tight and if both Ederson and De Bruyne were to depart this summer, it would represent a major boost to their Premier League rivals. De Bruyne is almost unaffordable, and it would still wonder if the Flemish left this summer. Stefan Ortega has demonstrated his ability to serve as an effective deputy, so Ederson's leave might be less of a blow.
