Only over a year after leaving Manchester United, David De Gea has indicated that he may be about to start playing soccer again.
Only over a month after leaving Manchester United, David De Gea has made an hints for a spectacular return to the game.
De Gea helped the Red Devils win a number of awards during his 12-year playing career, including the Premier League in 2012/13, while making above 500 looks for the team between 2012 and 2023.
A two-time Premier League Golden Glove success, De Gea was expected to be offered a new lease when his package expired in 2023, but Manchester United finally opted for a change of course as André Onana was signed later that summer.
Since leaving United, the original Atletico Madrid goalkeeper has reportedly been in touch with Nottingham Forest along with leagues from the Saudi Pro League.
But De Gea, who is still just 33 years old, has so far decided to wait as he considers his choices. He uploaded a picture to Instagram in April showing him practicing at Altrincham Town's floor.
He was seen making some wise saves while being put through his feet in it. " We remember. We recover. We come again stronger", he added in a message.
⏳July 20, 2024
De Gea may suddenly be ready to return as clubs from all over Europe and abroad look to enhance their squads during the summertime transfer window.
De Gea teased a potential return to the pitch in a cryptic post on X ( formerly Twitter ) on Saturday, hinting that it might not be long before he is back on the field.
At 33, DataVictory's view is that De Gea also has plenty to sell. He obviously continues to be in good health, and he only recently won the Golden Glove in the Premier League for the next day. A world-class shot-stopper like him and a gentleman with his knowledge must be very beneficial for a membership. He'll be again, hopefully.
