Tottenham are set to end their search for Conor Gallagher by purchasing a slightly less expensive option from their Premier League foes.
In the summer transfer windows, Tottenham are interested in signing Chelsea's Conor Gallagher and are willing to put an end to their involvement in the midfielder.
In the past 12 weeks, Tottenham have been strongly linked with a move for Conor Gallagher, but Chelsea's great pricing and the person's reluctance to make the move to north London has meant no package has come to fruition.
Spur, as a result, have started looking at other alternatives, and might just have found the perfect player to join the club this summer.
According to The Sun, Tottenham are looking to sabotage Fulham's £40m package for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, who looks set to leave Old Trafford this summers.
With Manchester United looking to revamp their club, selling McTominay may help free up lots of funds due to the Scotsman representing genuine profit for the club, so helping them compromise the books. Fulham have been linked with a move for the 27-year-old, but Tottenham are now looking to muscle in on a package.
According to the record, Ange Postecoglou claims to be a big fan of McTominay because he believes he may excel as a midfield cover for James Maddison.
Galatasaray have even confirmed their interest in signing McTominay this summer, though his inclination is to stay in the Premier League if he is to keep Manchester United. The midfielder roughly left last summer for £30m to West Ham United, but a package fell through at the last minute.
Manchester United are now demanding £40 million for the university product despite the club having an alternative for an additional year while he only has one more year on his contract. Transfermarkt beliefs him at £27m.
In DataVictory's perspective, it seems exceedingly probable that McTominay may depart Manchester United this summers, with the Scotsman never looking likely to start some sports under Erik ten Hag. Whether that is to Tottenham, though, is a unique problem: £40m is a lot of money, which could be used to enhance other areas of the club. After recently losing Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich, Fulham also appears to be the side's favorite.
