England have begun the hunt for Gareth Southgate's alternative, but when are the Three Lions following in motion?

After the 53-year-old's departure on Tuesday night, Gareth Southgate's career has come to an end.

For the first time in eight times, The FA are looking for a fresh Three Lions director following England's defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 last.

The likes of past Chelsea director Graham Potter, Newcastle United main Eddie Howe and present England U21s coach Lee Carsley are the present favourites with the bookies to get over, but how much do the FA have to choose their man before England play again? When is England's following match?

By resigning but immediately after England's Euro 2024 fight, Southgate has given the FA plenty of time to find his son. The United Nations League match between the Republic of Ireland and England will take place on Saturday, September 7 at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, which will take place on September 7.

That is followed by the explore of Finland to Wembley, four days later on Wednesday, September 10.

How does England's 2024/25 plan search?

Another Nations League double-header takes position in the October global split, with England having Greece on October 10, before travelling to Finland on October 13.

England travels to Greece on November 14 and hosts the Republic of Ireland on November 17 in the Three Cats ' last games of 2024.

That will assume the League stage of the Nations League, with the quarter-finals and finals taking place in March 2025, before the semi-finals and last at the end of the 2024/25 time.
