Kyle Walker says playing away from home this time had help England prepare for the Euro 2024 finalized on Sunday in Berlin.
After losing to Italy on sanctions at Wembley in the Euro 2020 centerpiece, England defender Kyle Walker believes playing away from home in Sunday's Euro 2024 last against Spain may help the Three Cats.
There was a packed audience at Wembley for that match, which was played in July 2021 as the game was delayed for a month due to the Covid-19 crisis, with hundreds of viewers forcing their way in to the federal stadium without reservations.
England's people were cheered by devoted followers who were expecting their team to get their first major award since the 1966 World Cup all the way from their education grounds.
And it got off to a good start, with Luke Shaw giving England the prospect inside two minutes before the Three Lions conceded to Leonardo Bonucci halfway through the second half, who went on to gain the battle 3-2 as Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Bukayo Saka all failed to convert their spot kicks.
England are now in the Euros last after defeating the Netherlands in the last four on Wednesday. This time around, Spain will face Spain in Berlin's main event on Sunday.
According to Walker," Wembley had a completely different feeling, with miles and miles of people cheering you on and chanting you out as you leave St George's Park."
" We're on a different turf right now, where there's less of a strain on us," he said.
" But as individuals and gamers, who have experienced these finals earlier, we have to offer on the great occasions."
Walker, who has played for England since 2010, is set to gain his 90th cover for England in Sunday's last.
